Student Research Grants

The SEG Foundation (SEGF) and SEG Canada Foundation (SEGCF) are awarding one-year grants, between $1,000(USD/CAD) and $5,000(USD/CAD), for research expenses to support graduate students enrolled in a Bachelor's, M.Sc., or Ph.D. degree program.

Selected Participant Notification: April 30, 2026

* The Application and the Reference Appraisal must be submitted by the application deadline. Late submissions for either are not accepted.

The Newmont Corporation Student Grant supports research projects worldwide related to the geology, mineralization, and metallogeny of gold deposits. Emphasis is placed on research with a strong field component, with funding available for directly related laboratory work.
